Commissions and bookings
The academy takes commissions — live art at events, murals, dabke performances, and instructors you can bring to your own space. The work is made by young artists from Little Palestine, Chicago, and every booking pays those artists directly.
Two weeks minimum lead time on all bookings.
An artist works in front of your guests during the event, and you keep the finished piece at the end of the night. Choose live painting, a street cartoonist sketching guests one by one, or a portrait painter working from life. The making is part of the event, not a backdrop to it.

Commissioned wall work, interior or exterior, at a range of scales — from a single feature wall to a full façade. We work with you on subject and palette so the piece belongs to its place. Each mural is designed and painted by academy artists.

Dabke troupes and traditional Palestinian song, booked for events, with group size set by the occasion. Book a troupe — Thawra Dabke or Freedom Dabke Group — or a traditional Palestinian singer, performing solo or alongside a dabke set.

Bring a teacher to your event or organization rather than a performance. Book a dabke instructor to lead your group through the steps, or an art workshop facilitator to run a hands-on session. Both are built around the people in the room, whatever their experience.

To give you a rough sense: live art and performances typically start around $500, instructors and facilitators around $250 per session, and murals are quoted by size and surface. Final numbers depend on length, group size, and travel — tell us what you have in mind and we'll send a real figure.
