The Liberatory Arts Framework
Seven dimensions shape how we teach, create, and care at the Academy. Together they turn a studio into cultural infrastructure — a place where young people build skill, memory, and the capacity to imagine liberated futures.

Narrative sovereignty
Palestinian people tell their own stories and keep collective memory on their own terms. We treat oral history, language, and archive as living practice, not preservation behind glass.

Limitless imagination
Imagination is a tool for building futures beyond imposed limits. We make room for the experimental, the speculative, and the not-yet-possible.

Liberation through creativity
Art is a form of consciousness and resistance. Murals, film, spoken word, and performance carry questions about justice into public space.

Collective care
Creativity flourishes where people feel safe and valued. Trauma-informed facilitation, shared meals, and mentorship are part of the curriculum, not extras.

Community stewardship
We are accountable to the neighborhood we serve. Programming is reciprocal — shaped with the community through advisory structures and open decision-making.

Intergenerational connection
Elders, youth, and emerging artists sustain cultural continuity together. Knowledge moves in both directions across generations.

Steadfastness, movement, and expression
We stay rooted in our humanity and culture despite displacement — carrying an unwavering, creative presence forward across generations.
